Dear Heroku Support Team.

I am a Rails application developer in Japan.
My team develop a service on Heroku.

First, thank you for the Heroku. It is super PaaS for Rails.
Some great Add-Ons helps our developing applications.

So I have a question, for using service that connect to running outside of the Heroku.
I read Product Features, there was written for "outside service running on Amazon EC2" .

We want to run MySQL Server and Memcached on own server, and using these from Application on the Heroku.

We tried connecting our MySQL Server with Amazon RDS Add-On from the Heroku. It works.
And we tried creating TCP Connection with our own Memcached from the Heroku. It works too.

Are these usages invalid?
If these usages is invalid, we will stop using.

Sincerely Yours.

Some great Add-ons are a big help in developing our applications.

I would like to make a question.
Could I run a service on Heroku that connects to an outside private database?
